Laura Bloxham of Archibald Campbell & Harley wins Up and Coming Solicitor of the Year at Law Awards of Scotland 2011
Archibald Campbell & Harley is delighted to announce that Laura Bloxham was named Up and Coming Solicitor of the Year at the Law Awards of Scotland 2011. Laura, a key member of the firm's highly regarded Affordable Housing team, was shortlisted alongside five lawyers from leading national firms.Laura deals with a broad range of development and property transactions principally for the Affordable Housing Team. She is increasingly specialised in large-scale, complex development acquisitions and in particular over the past year Laura has been heavily involved in a landmark property transaction for a high-profile Housing Association using an entirely new structure for the provision of mid-rent housing. AC&H delivered the legal framework underpinning the new model and Laura was instrumental in the success of this project. The testimonials provided by two key parties in the transaction, Dunedin Canmore Housing Association and Rettie & Co, reflect her contribution to the project and her achievements so early in her career.
The Law Awards of Scotland in association with Registers of Scotland, celebrates the achievements of those law firms, teams and individuals who have performed outstandingly, despite operating in the most challenging business environment for a generation.
Janette Speed, Partner said "We are hugely proud of Laura's achievement, not least because she trained with the firm and so is a testament to our ability to retain and nurture talent. Laura is a capable and popular lawyer, who already has an impressive knowledge of the industry within which she operates. Her commitment and client care is second to none, which will place her in good stead for continued success in her career."
